Alaska Required Workplace Posters

Child Labor Law

Informs employees about labor laws for minors in the state of Alaska. It outlines the specific jobs that minors under 14 may legally perform, the hours that minors 14 and 15 may work during school and vacation periods, and the types of occupations that minors under 17 cannot be employed in. The poster also specifies additional restrictions for minors 14 and 15, including breaks, alcohol, and tobacco regulations, and provides contact information for the Alaska Wage and Hour Administration for further information.

 

Emergency Phone Numbers

This is an emergency information poster. It has a list of emergency numbers for different services. It also has the address and phone number for the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Payday Notice

The poster is informing employees of their regular pay days. The pay days are either weekly bi-weekly semi-monthly or monthly. The pay checks will be distributed in accordance with Alaska State Law.

Safety & Health Protection on the Job

This poster is intended to inform employers and employees of their rights and responsibilities under the Alaska Occupational Safety and Health Act. The poster also provides information on the Voluntary Activity Program which encourages employers and employees to reduce workplace hazards and the It's Your Right to Know program which requires employers to provide information to employees on the hazardous substances and physical agents to which they may be exposed.

Sexual Harassment

The purpose of the poster is to inform people about what sexual harassment is and to tell them that it is illegal for employers to retaliate against employees who report it. The poster also provides contact information for the Alaska Human Rights Commission.

Unemployment Insurance

This is a poster to notify employees that they are covered by unemployment insurance and to tell them how to file a claim.

Wage & Hour Act

The purpose of this poster is to inform employees of their rights under the Alaska Wage and Hour Act. The poster also includes information on recordkeeping requirements for employers.
